Tom arrived in Los Angeles in 1994 as Multimedia Director of the famous House of Blues Club on Sunset Strip.
Tom programmed 16 hours of daily music and multimedia on the Gefen DJ/VJ System.- servicing three floors of simultaneous events with custom playlists of blues, rock and roots music history.
Tom chatted with his music heroes as Los Angeles interviewer for the award-winning syndicated House of Blues Radio Hour. Other shows include a 60's retrospective -I Want To Take You Higher - for the Rock Roll Hall of Fame, a Cajun special for Putamyo Radio and annual Disney shows.
Continuing with online streaming entertainment, Tom joined award-winning SpikeRadio
In between those jobs, Tom continued to write screenplays. In 2002, he was awarded a Paul Verhoeven Scholarship for Los Angeles Film School's Feature Film Development Program for Spirit Land.
Video and music in New Orleans:
Tom's filmmaking workshop resulted in award-winning videos. Highlights include Best Experimental Film at
the New Orleans Film Festival and-- two years in a row--First Prize in the Louisiana Media Festival.
Tom and Marta's videos were featured at an International Film Symposium
organized by U.S. State Department. The filmmakers voted the New Orleans visit as a "favorite of the filmmakers".
Collaborations with theater companies led to on-stage video installations at the New Orleans Contemporary Art Center and
a commissioned performance at Dublin's International Theatre Festival in 1996.
Later that year, as Creative Director of House of Blues New Media, Tom headed the first in-house multimedia lab delivering content for TV and live Internet broadcasts from the HoB Nightclub.
as a producer on Toyota's 24/7 live internet radio. Tom was the Los Angeles Producer on Nike's 2000 Olympics show - Radio Free Sydney - which won the Communication Arts' Design Annual Best Interactive Design.
