SAPA - Created by CRISUS

CRISUS
SAPA is about survival in the aftermath of war. Hunger. Struggle in the age of machines. A journey into the heart of darkness.

Medieval/high tech production design and tribal nomadic wardrobe created the spectacle. Set design consisted of recycled machines-- bicycles, lawn mowers, lights & raw iron. Junk was cut-up then re-welded into kinetic pieces up to 20 ft tall.
Dramatic lighting and projections transformed the old Iveigh Market into a hallucinatory, timeless world.

Created by Malcolm McClay and Jeff Becker. Featuring Mark Hosey, Vinnie Murphy and Seamus Purcell.

Tom Murphy created SAPA's psychedelic soundtrack in collaboration with Billy DaMota and Bradford Cat of Art Ghetto. The score told was a live mix of original music, ambient recordings of Asian festivals and chanting Cambodian monks. Vinnie Murphy, percussionist extraordinare, improvised industrial strength rhythms.
